The Alliance for Jewish Theatre (AJT) is the leading organization dedicated to nurturing, promoting, and preserving theater with Jewish content and sensibilities worldwide. As a non-profit arts service organization, AJT connects and advocates for artists, companies, and audiences exploring the Jewish experience through theater.
I joined AJT in 2019, helping coordinate the 2019 in person conference in Chicago, and at the end of the year, I was asked to come onto the AJT Board and serve as the organization’s social media coordinator.
Since then, I have been a part of the Executive Board and host AJT's popular monthly podcast On The Bimah (formerly known as Theater Schmooze), on which I interview prominent contemporary Jewish theater artists. I also chair the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee, helping make AJT more representative and accessible.
On the AJT board, I provide strategic leadership for the organization, advise on technology and communications, assist with conference planning, generate program ideas, and facilitate partnerships. My goals are to help raise the profile of Jewish theater, defend against antisemitism in the arts, and foster a vibrant global community for artists and companies engaging Jewish culture, history, and identities.
It's an incredible experience contributing to the leading organization for Jewish theater worldwide. I'm proud to help develop, innovate, promote and preserve such a culturally rich artform. AJT is an artistic home where Jewish themes, stories, and creators can thrive onstage.
